Who We Are

Paisley & Dot is a surface pattern design studio based in northern New Jersey creating decorative illustrations and surface patterns which are often inspired by historical periods, nature and femininity.

We aim to create smile-provoking art where the romantic and the playful are sprinkled with a little vintage touch .

Throughout the library of work you will find beautiful narrative surface pattern collections, as well as single, stand-alone designs that we proudly highlight.

Our patterns are applicable for various types of commercial end-product uses, such as fashion, wallpaper, home textiles, stationery and more.

Behind the scenes is artist and owner Nel, a creative design professional with two decades of experience working in the apparel industry for mass-market retail brands.

Paisley & Dot is her own independent business which she runs alongside the support of her husband from their home studio in New Jersey.

The design studio currently retails commercial license of our patterns for small businesses and is accepting commissioned projects.
